I just put on my "Swan Princess" dvd, which reminded me. My Derek is named after the prince in that movie (which I adore, as cheesy as it is). Theo i honestly pulled out of the air, which is odd for me. I just wanted something that could be quite shmancy, or not (theodore, theo). Liam is a boy I know, his mum is mates with mine (although they look nothing alike), and Jordan is part of my continuing love of "J" names. I suppose Jordan is more like the RL liam.
jack is a nice simple, strong, but ultimately plain name, and Martine feels just a bit German, because of the origin of the story. like 80% of my ancestors born before 1900 are named either Johann or Johanna, but I don't really like those names.
Mother Gotthel is not my name; that name comes with the story, although Wikipedia spells it Gothel. I changed that. Dora is the name of my mother's aunt, although her character is more like my grandmother, and Isabelle is named after the baby princess in Denmark. I guess everyone won't already know that the wife of crown prince Frederik is Mary, from Tasmania, Australia, and her daughter is named Isabella. I chose Isabelle over Isabella for reasons of my own. Sharnelle would probably prefer I don't explain it.
